BUILDERS FIRSTSOURCE TEAMS WIN MLF PRO-AM JIMBOREE

Builders FirstSource customers and team members partnered with Major League Fishing pro anglers to catch hundreds of fish over two days on beautiful Lake Minnetonka in Minnesota and win the MLF Pro-Am Jimboree Tournament.

The best performance of the event came from the team that included MLF pro angler Cody Meyer and BFS customer Craig Evans. They caught 40 fish during the second day of fishing, including a 4-pound 2-ounce bass. Their fish combined for the winning weight of 80 pounds, 9 ounces.

The winning team for Day 1 consisted of MLF pro Alton Jones, Jr., BFS customer John Keene, and BFS General Manager Jesse Howard. They caught 36 fish that totaled 67 pounds and one ounce.

The competition was so close that the second place team for Day 2 actually caught more fish than the winning team! BFS customer Jeff Rogers, supplier partner Brian Czyl, and MLF pro Mark Davis reeled in 49 bass that weighed over 78 pounds.

The third place team wasn’t far behind. MLF pro Britt Meyers, BFS customer Dennis Dittenber, and BFS General Manager Andrew Hagarty caught 46 fish for a total weight of 74 pounds, 7 ounces.

The BFS team included the three lucky sweepstakes winners who enjoyed an all-expenses paid trip for the event, along with customers and BFS team members. The Build Show’s Matt Risinger and Brian Czyl from Metrie were also part of the BFS group.

The anglers were split up into teams of three, and each team included a MLF pro. Our customers and team members learned from the best on and off the lake as they were able to spend time with the 44 pro anglers attending the event. Everyone enjoyed spending time together for breakfast and dinner, relaxing at the hotel, and at the trophy presentation ceremony after the tournament was complete.
